I went to this gorgeous tea room for my b-day this year and it was amazing. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. The food was delicious and looked so pretty. All the decor and China was exquisite. The service was amazing. Definitely worthy of a special occasion. We went here on a Wednesday afternoon after a Broadway show and had the place all to ourselves. I love luxurious places that are unique with great food and this was definitely it. Also consider this your lunch or early dinner because there's a lot of food served. So so worthy of the splurge. You will not be disappointed. Perfect B-days, anniversaries, mother's days, engagements and amazing just because with your friends, family and significant others.

Valentine's Day tea is a must! My husband surprised me and it went beyond my expectations! Located in an unassuming walk up, you would never know behind those doors sits a gorgeous decked out tea salon. From the service to the teas, to the cocktails, and the amazing food, everything was delicious and impressive! My favorites include the borscht soup, scones, wonderland tea, petit fours, and the marble rye/goat cheese sandwich.

Cozy and quiet afternoon tea. Came here while it was snowing softly outside. The decor is thoughtful throughout. It was January but they still had charming holiday lights on the fireplace mantle. We did the tea pairing so we could try all the teas, and they were always coming by if we wanted more tea or a repeat of another cup. Although I wish we just did the one tea as it comes in a tea pot and would stay warmer throughout the service. Finger sandwiches were delightful. There was one with butternut squash that was so good. The scones were warm and buttery. The dessert, the crepe cake was phenomenal and light. Despite being a bunch of mini finger foods, we were stuffed before the 4th course and had to take the macaroons to go. Service was top notch. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter was very kind. An ideal afternoon tea from decor to the way the meals came out as they were ready so nothing went stale.

Lady Mendl’s Tea Salon is a charming step back in time. Set inside a historic townhouse, the atmosphere is elegant and serene, perfect for a leisurely afternoon tea. The traditional tea service is beautifully presented, with fresh finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream, and classic pastries. The tea selection is excellent, and everything is served with care and unhurried grace. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Ideal for special occasions or a quiet escape from the city.

I've done many lovely afternoon teas around the city, but Lady Mendl's ranks as one of the top places for Afternoon Teas in my book. Aside from the ambience and choice morsels they offered, I really liked the way they served the tea offerings in courses rather than simply bringing out the one-and-done tower of treats every other place seems to do. We were given the option to choose our preferred tea for the entirety of the set, or sample different teas at each course. We chose the latter, and very glad we did so, as it allowed us to try their excellent teas. Tasting the food in courses allowed us to savor everything, and provide a refined experience. They started us off with a choice of soup or salad. I chose the soup, as it was my favorite - potato leek. It was hot and delicious. One of the better potato leek soups I've had in a while. My friend's arugula salad with parmesan shavings was simple, but fresh. Next, I was really happy with how fresh the tea sandwiches were, as freshness seemed to be a challenge in many of the afternoon tea establishments I tried. I liked the flavor combinations of the sandwiches, as well. The scones, clotted cream, lemon curd, and marmalade, were not
